I am a mindfulness trainer, and I teach mindfulness practices to reduce stress and improve well-being.
I started practising mindfulness while studying in NUS more than 25 years ago. After graduating, I went to work in the IT industry, where I was a software project manager for 20 years. More than a decade ago, I hit a midlife crisis due to a reorganisation within the company. I ramped up my mindfulness practice and it tided me over that stressful period. Married with 2 teenage daughters, mindfulness has made me less likely to flare up at my daughters at home. Now I am retired from the IT industry and have switched to train people fulltime in mindfulness practice.
My interest in evidence-based teaching led me to pursue further training, and become
- Qualified Teacher of the 8-week MBSR (
Mindfulness – Based Stress Reduction) program from the University of Massachusetts (UMASS), Center for Mindfulness in theUS - Certified Teacher of the mindfulness for student program, Paws b (7-11yrs) and .b (11-18yrs) from the Mindfulness in School Project (MiSP) in the
UK - Certified ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) trainer under WSQ (Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications)
